Campbell Knutson Shareholder Jared Shepherd Participates in crisis management panel, Preparing for the Unimaginable, at the LMC Annual Conference
On February 18, 2024 Burnsville Police Officers Paul Elmstrand and Matthew Ruge, and Firefighter Paramedic Adam Finseth were killed in the line of duty, saving the lives of seven children. For the subsequent 11 days, Shareholder Jared Shepherd assisted our client, the City of Burnsville, as part of the emergency operations response. The Burnsville team, including Police Chief Tanya Schwartz, Fire Chief BJ Jungmann, City Manager Gregg Lindberg, Communications Consultant Paul Omodt, and Shepherd, spoke about their experience at the League of Minnesota Cities Annual Conference on June 26 and 27, 2025. Their panel discussion titled Preparing for the Unimaginable, focused on the importance of relationships, priority identification, and well-being in the City’s crisis response.
