CK Litigation Team Wins at the Court of Appeals

The CK Litigation team delivered another win at the Minnesota Court of Appeals, helping a client avoid onerous litigation of stale issues, after a successful argument by Attorney Jack Brooksbank.  In Jeffrey John Walker v. City of Afton, a resident sued the City claiming that he should be allowed to use his property as an airstrip. The CK litigation team successfully identified timeliness and waiver issues with this lawsuit, securing not only a dismissal of the claim but a permanent injunction against using the property as an airstrip. In successfully resolving the case on purely legal grounds, CK prevented the City from having to go through the costly and time-consuming discovery process.
